Classical Chinese is not only one of the Chinese traditional cultural treasures, but also the carrier of Chinese traditional culture, which results in the crucial role of classical Chinese teaching. Meanwhile, classical Chinese textbooks are the major references for classical Chinese teaching, whether classical Chinese teaching effect is good is closely related to the quality of classical Chinese textbooks, so we should pay more attention to the Textbooks. The same Classical Chinese texts of Mainland and Taiwan’s senior high school Chinese Textbooks are compared and analyzed in this paper with the differences, advantage and disadvantage summarized to provide a reference for the Compilation of Classical Chinese textbooks.This paper is composed of seven parts. The significance, current situation and research methods of the paper are expounded in the Introduction part with the research objects defined. The similarities and differences of the curriculum standards of the two locations are analyzed in Chapter Two. In Chapter three, the classical Chinese text arrangement of the two editions including the arrangement features and the location of the same classical Chinese texts are discussed. In Chapter Four, the difference of words and expressions selection, additions and deletions of the content for the same Classical Chinese texts in the two editions are compared and whether influences may be caused by the understanding of the differences is analyzed. In Chapter Five, the reading guidance systems of the same classical Chinese text in two editions including the inscape and content of title explanation and author introduction of the prompt system are compared and the difference of note quantity and note contents are analyzed. The similarities and differences of the exercises on quantity, types and content are compared in Chapter Six. Finally, the comparison results of the six chapters before are summarized in Chapter Seven with some correlative suggestions made.
