National curriculum standard is the basis of textbook writing, teaching,assessment and examination proposition and the foundation of the national management and evaluation of course. The basic education curriculum standard is the result of basic education curriculum theory, is the guide of all education management and teaching. Since the compulsory education English curriculum standard(experiment draft) has been issued, all cities in our country carry on the new curriculum reform. In the process of the practice, many experts and scholars have made researches about it. The Xiangyang city, has reformed for many years, but there’s no literature to study the curriculum implementation of the city.Five junior high school in xiangyang city, hubei province as the research object,the current situation of the English curriculum is studied. The research methods this paper used are literature review method, questionnaire survey, individual interviews,etc. Research content mainly includes "understanding the effect and implement situation of English course standard; understanding of ’three-dimensional curriculum goals and implement situation in English course standard; the understanding of the content and implement situation; the implementation of course standard.According to investigation statistics, the conclusion is as follows: xiangyang city ninth grade English teachers’ understanding of English course standard. of the is good;Three-dimensional objective aspect, the teacher more emphasis on knowledge and ability, but don’t values other goals seriously; Teachers’ understanding of the curriculum content and implement situation is not very ideal; The teacher there exist some problems in the implementation of the curriculum.To solve these problems, this article respectively to xiangyang municipal administrative department of education, junior high school grade, ninth grade English teacher and nine students to put forward the corresponding proposal xiangyang city education administrative department should take measures to improve xiangyang city junior high school English teachers’ whole quality, and more investment to the school education teaching resources construction, and strive to change evaluation mode, and strengthen the education of school supervision; Each second, xiangyang city junior high school to strengthen learning and communication between teachers, to strengthen the supervision and management of the process of implementation of the curriculum.Three, xiangyang city, English teachers should change education idea, improve theirown quality, and to combine multiple evaluation methods to evaluate students; Fourth,the junior middle school students in learning to find suitable for their own learning method, strengthen the ability of autonomous learning.In this paper, research results and put forward Suggestions for the administrative department of education textbook writing, teaching plan, curriculum provides some references for the management and examination paper and so on; Helps to find the school curriculum problems that exist in the implementation process; Help the junior middle school English teachers further familiar with and master the core of new ideas;Help junior high school students know the curriculum the scientific concepts to convey thoughts and improve the level of English learning.
