Under the background of coordinated development of Jing-Jin-Ji, the study of population spatial distribution become more and more important than before in this area.Based on this breakthrough point, the research select Beijing city, Tianjin city and 11 cities in Hebei province, totally 13 cities as the research unit and kick off. The study found that:(1) Population maintained a steady growth trend in the capital circle.(2)The population spatial pattern stay stable basically from 1996 and tend to cluster in the stable distribution, mainly show as:(a) gathering in the southeastern plains and sparing relatively in the northwest mountain;(b) gathering in the urban and sparing in the rural;(c) disequilibrium also exist within and between the provinces and cities.(3)The population spatial distribution in the Capital circle is dense and relatively sparse coexist, and(4) population agglomeration will have a huge potential in the future. The population spatial distribution pattern formation mechanism is the result of the interaction between various factors, mainly includes: natural, economic, social, policy, and demographic factors and so on. After empirical analysis using SLM in the stata 13.0, we found: altitude, annual rainfall and per GDP are negative effects while industrial structure, wage, educational level, policy and population size are positive effects. The population size is the most influenced effect in the research.
