Developing higher vocational education is one of the most important steps in building a modern education system and enhancing the nation’s core competitiveness. "3+2"cultivation type is an innovation of high vocational education which can help vocational education get out of the dilemma. This research aims at studying the role of high vocational college during the implementation of "3+2" type, finding out existing problems and put forward reasonable suggestions.The research focus on the enrollment, training objectives, faculty scale, curriculum setting, evaluation of the two "3+2" majors through questionnaire surveys and interviews with teachers and college leaders. The research makes a conclusion that vocational colleges have 3 advantages in carrying out the "3+2"type, including homogeneity in type, ductility in level and locality in service. While in the process of implementing "3+2" type, vocational colleges also have several problems, such as insufficient enrollment, convergence in training objectives, unscientific curriculum, teachers’ poor adaptation,imperfect quality supervision system. To solve these problems, the vocational college should help change the vocational concept to remove the barriers to recruit students. Implement the credit system and flexible educational system to help to build an official "3+2" form which can prevent the new "3+2" type from chaos or formalization. Design integrated training objectives and course system which mean strengthening practical courses and coordinate the elective. Strengthen the cooperation with universities, government and enterprises to consolidate the faculty and to guarantee the quality of "3+2" type.The key characteristic of this research is setting an example to explore the implementation of the "3+2" type in vocational college from 3 aspects, such as students, teachers and managers. And it would find the problems and countermeasures during the process. This research has a great importance in helping the public know the new talents training type and improve the quality of "3+2" type. It can also improve the level of vocational education which can guide the pilot in other territories of the country.
