Forgiveness is a heated topic in the field of philosophy, psychology and pedagogy research as an intervention method which an individual takes when offended by others or facing emotional disturbance to give up vengeance and relieve themselves. Current researches demonstrate forgiveness intervention plays an effective role in relieving students’ trouble in interpersonal communication and thus impacts a positive influence on promoting their physical and psychological health and a harmonious interpersonal relationship. But universities in China emphasize too much on academic education while less on emotional education, resulting in students’ lack of forgiveness. Based on the basic theory of forgiveness education and characteristics of forgiveness education in China, this dissertation demonstrates necessity, significance and feasibility of forgiveness education. And this dissertation integrates researches both domestic and overseas successful cases to summarize practical pattern and specific implement ways for forgiveness education based on the characteristics of college students’ ideological and political education in China. The practice of forgiveness education should follow the pattern of revealing, deciding, working on and succeeding. Teachers should help students face their negative emotion and come to forgiveness thus to relieve from their emotional trouble. The whole education process could achieve a good effect integrated with experiential teaching, psychological tutoring and creating a forgiveness condition.
