Objective:Objective of this study is to explore the short-term and long-term impact of muscle isometric exercises to muscle strength, respiratory function and vascular elasticity based on the finished research results and problems.Method:In this study,20 Yangzhou University student volunteers were divided into experimental and control groups for 8 weeks experiment. The experimental group have static practiced isometric exercise for 8 weeks, and muscle strength, respiratory function, elasticity of blood vessels and other indicators should be measured at before practice,2 weeks,8 weeks after practice. The control group also be measured the same indicators at the same time. The comparison between experimental and control group could demonstrate short and long term effects of isometric exercise on the above functions. It could provide a theoretical basis and experimental foundation for muscle isometric exercise as rehabilitation training to cardiovascular disease patients, especially in bed, rehabilitation of patients with limited autonomy movement.Results:1.Static regulate practice 2 weeks, the experimental group muscle power of each index is on the rise, grip strength, legs, back force compared with the experimental data before, has significantly increased (P< 0.01), while the control group no significant change; Static nursing practice after 8 weeks, grip strength in the experimental group muscle power and legs power compared with before the trial, there is still a significant higher (P< 0.01), but there is no significant difference between back force. Control the muscle power of each index before and after the basic no difference, remain in a stable condition.2.Static regulate practice two weeks later, the control group before and after the basic indifference, respiratory function index trend is stable. Static nursing practice two weeks later, the experimental lung capacity is increased, but the difference was not statistically. Practice after 8 weeks, the experimental group lung capacity compared with the experiment before there are significant differences (P< 0.05). Basic no change control group index of lung capacity.3.The static control practice two weeks later, the experimental group had significantly lower average left arm systolic blood pressure and systolic blood pressure (P< 0.05), left and right ankle diastolic blood pressure of experimental group at 2 weeks after isometric exercises compared with before practice. It suggests that the isometric contraction exercises of the short-term upper limbs systolic blood pressure and lower limbs diastolic blood pressure are lower. Practice after 8 weeks, the experimental group and control group of upper limb blood pressure compared with before the trial, no longer have a significant change; Experimental group left ankle diastolic blood pressure (P< 0.01) and right ankle diastolic blood pressure (P< 0.05) there were significant differences compared with before practice, namely eight weeks muscle isometric contraction practice has a significant influence on the subjects lower diastolic blood pressure, decreased diastolic blood pressure.4.The static control practice two weeks later, the experimental R-PWV and L-PWV compared with before the trial had extremely significantly lower (P< 0.01), L-ABI has increased significantly (P< 0.05). Muscle isometric contraction practice of 2 weeks in pulse wave conduction velocity and ankle arm index has a significant effect. Static nursing practice after 8 weeks, the experimental group L-ABI compared with before the trial had significant difference (P< 0.05).Conclusion:Therefore, isometric exercises adjusted with breathing rhythm could promote muscle strength; increase lung capacity, improve respiratory function, reduce blood pressure, lower PWV, and improve blood vessel elasticity, could spread as a rehabilitation exercise way to patients with chronic cardiovascular disease.
