Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the 8 week pattern rope skipping on the implementation of elementary school students, and to provide scientific evidence for the selection of appropriate sports programs for the development of elementary school students’executive function.Research methods:Selected by screening the fifth grade two class 43 students as the object of study randomly selected a class as the experimental group (10male pupils and 11 female pupils), another class is control group (11 male pupils and 11 female pupils). In the physical education class on the experimental group for a period of 8 weeks,2 times a week, a total of 16 times in the course of the pattern skipping exercise intervention, the control group of regular physical education.8 weeks before and after the experiment were used to measure the Flanker task, 1-back task and shifting More-odd task to measure the inhibition, refresh and conversion function of the three sub functions of the primary school students.The results:After 8 weeks of rope skipping exercise program intervention, repeated measures analysis of variance of time groups main effects showed that 8 weeks of rope skipping exercise program students complete a flanker task reaction time effects do not have significant change (F(1,41)=0.25, P=0.62>0.05), the students complete the 1-back task reaction time has a very significant difference (F(1,41)= 19.33, p=0.00<0.01), the students complete this mission scenario reaction has a very significant difference (F(1,41)=8.10, p=0.007<0.01), and the ability to convert the time groups effect also has significant difference (F(1,41)=8.37, p=0.006<0.01). Research conclusion:8 week pattern rope skipping program has a positive impact on the development of the executive function of elementary school students.
