A Study On The Spatial Distribution Pattern And Variation Of Yunnan Ethnic Population

This paper, after China’s ethnical census data to identify overall completion(1990, 2000, 2010) as the basis for ethnic diversity and geographic concentration index, Yunnan province, discusses the spatial pattern of population distribution and ethnic Evolution trend in the past two decades. The main issues discussed included:(1)temporal and spatial patterns of population, including the total population(county,state, province) and population density(county, state, provincial) time series, the total amount of native peoples(26) population(county, states, provinces) and population density(county, state, provincial) time series;(2) ethnic diversity index(county, state,province) and its evolution;(3) ethnical geographic concentration(56) and its evolution;(4) nation spatial and temporal characteristics of population distribution and correlation analysis between factors, including total population, ethnic diversity(index), level of economic development(index), geographic concentration of ethics(index) and ethnic diversity(index).On the basis of consideration based on county scale and regional or statewide scale features on the study show:Its population density pattern in terms of time and space, 1990--2010 years,Yunnan’s total population and population density were increased significantly, but large regional disparities in growth, economic development and population density and level of economic development-related growth significantly, mainly population growth or population density and growth from the capital to the state capital and its surrounding areas. To the past 20 years, the total area of Yunnan population patterns and population density growth pattern was multi-center, and the performance of a certain level, that is a high level of economic development of the total amount of capital to the state capital and its surrounding area and population high population densities increase, but in the northwest, the southern regional center of the obvious.In terms of ethnic diversity index, at scales of county, city, and province, ethnic diversity index showed significant growth, and regional pattern is obvious. Ethnic diversity in the central area- the north and south part of the different pattern isobvious, the trend was similar to that of the total population and density of multi-center pattern. Ethnic diversity also analyzes the contribution of the Han.Ethnical geographic concentration gives the 56 ethnic distribution of everything extent and patterns of change, and Yunnan 26 ethnic minority in detail. ethnical geographic found that the total concentration of ethnic populations are highly correlated, the total ethnical population larger ethnical geographic concentration is decreasing, that of the past two decades was the distribution of such ethnical diffusion trend; ethnic population smaller ethnical geographic focus on the bottom tended to increase, that kind of nation the last two decades of the distribution had gathered momentum.Finally, the main indicators related to the article made SPSS-Pearson correlation test, the main data includes: the ethnic population and terrain ruggedness was more significant negative correlation with the level of economic development was a significant positive correlation; the level of ethnic diversity and relief amplitude and economic development correlation is not significant; Han of ethnic diversity(to a certain extent the total population) and the contribution rate of the topography was more significant negative correlation with the level of economic development was more significant positive correlation; the ethnic diversity of its coefficient of variation was significantly negatively correlated.In short, to the Yunnan ethnic population development and natural geography,social geography, ethnical structural features, structural features of the original peoples it was obvious correlation.
