Study On Population Changes Of Ethnic Groups In Yunna

Yunnan is the province with the largest number of ethnic minorities in China.There are 25 ethnic minorities in the province,including 15 ethnic groups with Yunnan as the main gathering place.The unique geographical location and rich ethnic culture make the economic and social development of Yunnan have a unique model.Yunnan is one belt,one road in the longest border of China,which is not only the strategic place of our national defense,but also an important province of our country.Studying the changes of the population of all ethnic groups in Yunnan is of great significance to promote the economic and social development of Yunnan,maintain the security and stability of ethnic areas in Yunnan,promote the exchanges and integration among ethnic groups,and forge the awareness of a community with a shared future for the Chinese nation.Therefore,based on the data of previous population censuses,this paper studies and analyzes the population of all ethnic groups in Yunnan and the population of ethnic groups in Yunnan as the main gathering place in China.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Demographic characteristics of ethnic groups in Yunnan:The total population of ethnic minorities in Yunnan accounts for more than 30%of the total population of Yunnan.More than 10%of ethnic minorities in China are distributed in Yunnan,of which more than 50%of the population of Yi and 15 ethnic groups with Yunnan as the main settlement are distributed in Yunnan.The Yi and Hui ethnic groups are scattered in Yunnan Province,while the remaining 23 ethnic minorities are concentrated.The gender structure is generally normal,but there is a slight gap among ethnic groups.The age structure of ethnic minority population in Yunnan is in the stage of transition from adult type to elderly type,and the population shows an aging trend.The education level of ethnic minority population in Yunnan is low.On the whole,the education level of ethnic minority men in Yunnan is higher than that of women.The urbanization level of ethnic minority population in Yunnan is low on the whole,but there are great differences among ethnic groups.From 2000 to 2020,the population size of ethnic minorities in Yunnan showed an overall growth trend;the overall proportion of ethnic minorities in Yunnan has declined;The total sex ratio of ethnic minorities in Yunnan has decreased slightly,and the gender structure is still at a normal level on the whole.2.Population characteristics of ethnic groups with Yunnan as the main gathering placeIn 2020,there will be 15 ethnic minorities in China,including Hani,Bai and Dai,with Yunnan as the main settlement.More than 70%of the population of these 15 ethnic groups is distributed in Yunnan.From the perspective of ethnic population flow and diffusion,the population flow rate of Pumi ethnic group is higher than the average level of the whole country and ethnic minorities,the population flow rate of the remaining 14 ethnic groups is at a low level,and the inter provincial flow proportion of all ethnic groups is lower than that in the province.More than 90%of the Jino and Naxi floating population flows in Yunnan Province,and the provincial relative population distribution uniformity of 15 ethnic minorities are low,The degree of diffusion is not high.In terms of education level,the education level of all ethnic groups is relatively low.The average length of education of 15 ethnic groups is lower than the national average,and the average length of education of men is higher than that of women.From the perspective of urbanization,the urbanization level of all ethnic groups is low,which is lower than the national average level.From 2000 to 2020,the proportion of Dulong People in Yunnan has increased,while the proportion of the remaining 14 ethnic groups in Yunnan has decreased;The provincial relative population distribution uniformity of Dulong ethnic group decreased,while the provincial relative population distribution uniformity of other ethnic groups increased;The educational level of all ethnic groups has improved,and the increase rate of women is faster;The urbanization rate has increased by a large margin.
