A Study On The Orientation Of School Students' Choosing Outside School

With the improvement of people’s living standard and the enhancement of people’s concern for education, many parents have a variety of education investment for their children and extracurricular education in the country showing the trend of the spreading.There are many factors that affect the choice orientation of primary school students’ extracurricular education, including social background, education policy, family economic conditions, the concept of parents etc.. The author combines the objective factors and the parents of different educational ideas to do the relevant investigation and a targeted interview for the extracurricular education choice of parents of T primary school in Qingdao City. It is found that the pupils’ parents have three characteristics in the school education choice: one is culture lessons tutorial’s trend still strong; the second is specialty cultivation’s orientation begins emerging; the third is the cultural lessons and specialty become the dominant orientation.According to the survey, many of the cultural courses selected by pupils are significantly more than specialty, even the special classes are selected for further education, this choice of the parents are often affected by traditional education view, they pursuit the compensatory value of education for cultural studies. In addition, the author found that specialty training classes are very popular for many parents and students. Under the support of family economic conditions and the influence of western educational concept, coupled with the implementation of quality education, specialty training classes’ expand value gradually get the attention of parents. But it is more obvious that most students also received two or more different categories of training, the balance in cultural courses and specialties is the main choice of the orientation for parents. In a competitive social environment, affected by the interaction between Chinese and western education, most of the parents often expect children can enters a higher school and talent full duplex.Finally, the author analyzes the causes of these three kinds of choice, and puts some relevant Suggestions and guidance strategies for the parents of elementary school’s students. The author expects parents to set up correct concept of education or choose the training institutions sanely.
