Dialogue teaching has been introduced to China for about two decades. Till present, it has already been developed as one of the core concepts of domestic curriculum reform. It is a great innovation in terms of both the relationship between teacher and students and the purpose of education. With regard to the former, a new‘I-You’ relationship between two subjects is established instead of traditional teacher-student relationship. Concerning the purpose of education, dialogue teaching cares about the growing of individuals, and its evaluation view is generative, focusing on the learning process.Introduction of this thesis demonstrates the development of dialogue teaching, in which the research value is revealed. Chapter one talks about the origins of dialogue teaching. In this chapter, classics both at home and abroad are discussed. Chapter two demonstrates an empirical study conducted in Dongying No. 1 Middle School.Through practices, interviews, and data processing and analysis afterward, the possibility of conducting dialogue teaching is visualized. On this basis, suggestions are made for conducting dialogue teaching in reality. From the perspective of teaching practice, chapter three designs specific teaching plans for dialogue teaching. And in classroom case study, teaching experience and reflection are obtained. This study is of both theoretical and practical significance. Interpretations and explanations are made in terms of the theory of dialogue teaching. At the same time, the theory serves the practices of Chinese teaching in classroom.Findings of this study result from data analyses and explanations, which are obtained on the basis of questionnaire, interviews and teaching practice of the author.
