Schwab first raised the exploratory teaching in Teaching of Sci ence of Inquiry in 1961, then the exploratory teaching played an i mportant role in the basic education curriculum reform of China in recent years. And the mathematical education of primary and seco ndary schools in Lhasa has more than 60 years history, and it has made a lot of progress. As a part of the basic mathematics curricul um reform in the future, the exploratory teaching becomes more an d more important nowadays.Based on the theory of pedagogy and psychology, this thesis s urveys a concrete investigation in the mathematical exploratory teac hing. And it surveys the current implementary situation of Lhasa th rough literature analysis, questionnaire and interviews. Also it analyze s the existing problems and influencing factors according to the dat a, and provides suggestions on the new strategies.Through the survey, I think that high schools in the implementation process may exist the following problems:(1) The objective aspect: Due to the heavy study burden on the students which causes that the teachers don’t have much time to implement the exploratory teaching in class;(2) The teachers’ aspects: Teachers usually do not have in depth understanding of the concept, and they cannot prepare well before the lessons;(3) The students’ aspects: first of all, students spend little time on the preparation for the class; secondly, students are not willing to learn the mathematical extracurricular knowledge; finally, they lack the enthusiasm of learning mathematics;(4) The classroom atmosphere aspects: it is difficult for teachers to keep a good control to the classroom atmosphere and discipline.Corresponding suggestions and strategies to the problems are provided in the thesis, which will be useful for the implementation of the mathematical exploratory teaching in the high schools of Lhasa:(1) To the objective aspects: To change too pay great attention to academic performance;(2) To the teachers’ aspects: To strengthen teachers’ theory of reserves: on the one hand, strengthen teachers’ understanding and application of the exploratory teaching for the basic mode and theoretical knowledge; on the other hand, encourage teachers to thought and carefully designed the process of the exploration for an adequate lesson preparation;(3) To the students’ aspects: To change students’ learning habits and motivate the students’ study enthusiasm: firstly, encourage students to spend more time on the preparation before the class and teachers should professor the reading methods; secondly, encourage students to learn the mathematical extracurricular knowledge after class; finally, inspire students’ inquiry learning and ask more questions;(4) To classroom atmosphere aspects: teachers and students need to work together and create harmonious classroom atmosphere.
