With the reforming of elementary curriculum goes further and moreprofound, teachers in classroom of middle school are showing more andmore emphasis on the methods of mathematical thinking. The NewMathematics Curriculum Standards have made the statement about thedetailed requires that the relative people must need to know. Sincepeacefully deliberation of Tibet, a lot of progresses have been made in themathematical education in Lhasa. But after60years of promotion, thecurrent teaching and learning situation of mathematical thinking methodsin Lhasa has not yet been studied which very is important to know. Morethan this, the questions about whether the situation in this area is differentfrom the other part of our country, whether it involves the characteristicsof education in Tibet is closely related to the promotion of quality onmathematical education in Lhasa and still connected with the progressthat will be made in Tibet and is also connected with the development ofeconomy in the area. On the other hand, it also connected with ourcountry’s security.As a postgraduate student mastered in curriculum theory of math,with my respect of this land, I selected the “the research on current statusof the mathematic thinking methodology applied in junior schoolmathematic teaching and its countermeasures in Lhasa” as my research subject.The purpose and significance of the study is outlined below:(1) thepurpose of this research is to provide guidance and reference views forthe teaching and learning of method on mathematical thinking in Lhasa,thereby contributing to the improvement of mathematics teaching qualityat junior middle school in Lhasa.(2) The significance of the study is toprovide Lhasa middle school mathematics teachers with the availableteaching theory and to provide a theoretical basis for the junior middleschool students in Lhasa to help the to learn efficiently. More than that,the study also help the students forming good mathematical cognitivestructure and help them to memorize and understand the mathematicalknowledge and help to improve students’ ability to innovate andcontribute to the implementation of the New Curriculum Idea as well.This paper focuses on the several elements as the items showedbelow:(1) to understand the status of mathematical thinking methodapplied in the classroom of junior middle school in Lhasa and theproblems that lies in it.(2) Based on the study on (1) has noted, someadvices to promote the situation of it have been proposed.(3) The detailsof pace about how to handle the class that involved the mathematicalmethod teaching.After using the methods of literature researching, questionnaire andinterview in this study, several important questions have been found. The question is:(1) Teachers’ unreasonable cognitive habits and the situationof mathematical thinking method applied in class were poor.(2) Students’cognitive a habit is unreasonable and students didn’t know how to learnand apply mathematical thinking method.(3) about the existence of thematerials aspects: current textbooks for junior high school students inLhasa difficulty is too large, teaching math activities set out students reallife.(4) There are no available evaluation systems about the mathematicalthinking method. To solve these problems, the countermeasures andsuggestions has been made which outlined below:(1) improve teachers’cognitive habits and raise awareness of importance of teachingmathematical thinking method; optimization junior high schoolmathematics teaching ways of thinking, to promote students’understanding of mathematical thinking and junior master.(2) Establish ascientific concept of learning to improve students’ cognitive habits andpromote awareness of studying and applying mathematical thinkingmethod.(3) Combine the characteristics of Tibetan junior high school,junior high school mathematics preparation of materials suitable for Tibet:Tibetan students to combine cultural background preparation materials;preparation of textbooks in junior high school textbooks to inherit PEPpenetration of mathematical thinking.(4) Establish evaluation systemused in teaching and learning evaluating and in society as well.(5) Focuson the impact of modern technology on the teaching and learning of mathematical method of thinking.
