Beijing Young University Teachers Ideological Problems And Countermeasures

The revival of a nation consists in education, and revival of education consists in teachers. Institutions of higher learning are under the mission to cultivate successors and builders of socialism with 搇ofty ideals, moral integrity, education and a sense of discipline.?Young teachers constitute the mainstream of college faculty, and there is little gap between young teachers and college students since they are almost of the same age and have a lot in common. Therefore, the philosophy and behaviors of young college teachers are influential to college students. Beijing is the heart of our country, and the stability of Beijing has a deciding effect on the stability of the whole country, so it is of great importance to study the political and ideological problems among young college teachers and take measures accordingly to deal with them. Based on a questionaire with young college teachers in Beijing, this thesis starts with a list of political and ideological problems common of young college teachers: the ill-balanced relationship between of individual and collective interests, the wrong stance towards Marxism, the astray tendency in ideals, faith and values, lack of professionalism and self- discipline, etc. Then this thesis analyses the causes of these problems in terms of the international background, the influence of market economy, the inefficient education concerning politics and ideology, the young college teachers themselves. In the end, the author, with her own working experience, proposes several tentative solutions for these problems: 1) Adapt the thinking pattern to the new situation and solve the problem efficiently; 2) Improve the working method, and make it more humanistic; 3) The branches of the Communist Party of China抯 function and the discipline and construction of administrators should be reinforced.
