The continuing education of the enterprises in the European and American countries has a long history and is more developed. The western scholars and many enterprises have obtained more theoretical achievements and practical experiences in the study about the staffs? motives to participate in the continuing education, the incentive countermeasures and the development of the staffs?creativity. Since the continuing education in China was introduced in the initial period of the reformation and opening to the outside world, a part of the state梠wned enterprises have improved the comprehensive quality of the staff by the education. Thus, the innovational capacity and competitive capacity in the market can be obviously enhanced and the understanding of the importance of the continuing education can be further deepened. At present, the cause to build the socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new history phase in our country. The absolute majority of the enterprises are setting up the system of the modern enterprise and the education system of the modern enterprise. However, after comparing and looking up numerous journals and magazines about the continuing education in China, the author of the paper finds that the enterprises as the main body of the continuing education should pay more attention to the study motive of the staff. Thus, the innovational capacity of the staff can be raised. This paper attempts to preliminarily probe and discuss the staffs?motives to participate in the continuing education for the staff of Chongqing municipal state梠wned enterprises and the incentive countermeasures. Its main purpose lies in: according to the current status of the lower level in developing the continuing education of the state梠wned enterprises, from the start of investigating and analyzing the study motive of the staff and in view of the advanced education theory and practical experience at home and abroad, the countermeasures are presented in order to mobilize and excite staff?s initiative of taking part in the continuing education. Especially, the paper is aimed at conducting the staff?s study motive to take part in the continuing education. The conducting purpose is to let more staff renew the knowledge and increase the creative power by the continuing education. Thus, the staff can participate in the reform of the enterprise?s technology and management. The whole paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the foreword: it puts forward the reason to study the motives to participate in the continuing education for the staff of the state梠wned enterprises and the incentive countermeasures. The part gives the definition of the study subject and 3 basic concept for the study about the staffs?motives to participate in the continuing education. The second part is the investigation of the motives to participate in the continuing education for the staff of Chongqing municipal state梠wned enterprises. Moreover, it includes the investigation intention, the current status, the exiting problems and influential factors, etc. And, its key point is the analysis of the forming reason for staff?s study motive. The basic viewpoints of the study motive to conduct the staff to participate in the continuing education are a core to this part.
