School BE (physical education) which is one of the important components of the quality?oriented education is very important in the systematic education for highuality talented students. In therecent years, our country has accomplished brilliant achievements in political and economic reform, and the development of school education reform ha~ been inclined to keep the same pace, and the guiding thought of FE teaching has become many faceted. However, the lifelong modern BE teaching will be the tendency of school FE development. Instead of being confined to the school days, significence of modern BE teaching is that it will lay solid foundation of lifelong BE, which has been agreed on by the people engaged in school BE.With the further exercise of BE teaching reform, many problems facing the l- academic circle are demanding prompt solution. Its new to investigate school BK in aspect of social PE. But according to the analysis of documentation concerned, lack of systematical and overll investigation, the study in this field is still scattered. To solve it, this article analyses and elaborates the factors in school BE that affect the social physical activities of Yanbian citizens, using such methods as analysis of documentation materials, interview, sociological questionnaire and mathematical statistics. It?s no doubt that it has made positive and beneficial explorations to impel the city school FE reform in our autonomy prefecture.Uere are the findings: (l)The foremost factor having an influence on Yanbian.3.citizens' joining in sports actiYities is that thestudents aren' t conscious of lifelong PE and don' Ihave fu1l and systematlc PE during school days,although mainly confined by the developingcondit ions of the soc ial econmy. (2) Diversity of thereasons for Yanbian citizens' joining in PE. Thoughboth of ma1e and female students haye PE classesduring their school days, the degree to .'riich PEhas an influence on the male is quite differnt fromthat on the female. (3) For the people who give up PE,whether there is enough free time and money is themost imDortant factor. But lacking interests, nogood command of training skil ls as we1l as not1 iking sports, etc. is close1y connected with the PEduring school days, (4)School PE of Yanbian citieswi ll be haunted by the shortage of sports fields,apparatus or facil ities in the long run. The factorssuch as shorLage of qual if ied teachers, a greatdi screpancc he tween the training items chosen hy thesocia1 ph)h ici1l training people and the school PELexL b()oks;1nd courses, especial ly i tems cnosen bythe temal c, no t on1y have an influence upon theeffect of PE teaching but also the students'developing their interests and habits of joining inPE. FurLhermore, they can decide if students can beparticipanLs in lifelong PE. Suggest ions on theconditions above: School PE shou1d put stress onfostering the sense of 1ifelong PE, strengthening theconstruction of the text book system, trainingteachers, especially training the female teachersboth in the quantity and qua1ity, which is also oneof the inportant factors triat affect the female PEpopu la t ion.
