This thesis intend to analyze the advantages of CBE teaching model in vocational education on the basis of the actual situation. Literature method, comparative method, investigative method, theoretical analysis method are adopted and it also aims to provide theoretical basis and direction for CBE teaching reform.Firstly, this thesis analyses the tendency and status of the vocational education in our country and around the world. It also states the necessity and the optimizing role of CBE teaching model in the teaching of major subjects of chemical analysis specialty.Secondly, it also expounds the possibility and practicability of CBE teaching reform in vocational educating from theoretical and practical aspects. It analyses and discusses the laws of students' cognitive development and the guidance significance of methodology of natural science to the CBE teaching model theoretically; it also approaches the outstanding advantages of CBE teaching model in the construction of chemical analysis major subjects as well as the students' subjectiveness and the teachers' leading role through comparing it with traditional teaching model and analyzing its actual effect in our college.Finally, a conclusion is drawn that CBE model conforms to the law of students' cognitive development hi vocational education and can be applied hi the teaching of analysis major subjects.
