Primary Language Curriculum Evaluation

Curriculum evaluation, serving as an orientation and a quality monitor in the new curriculum reform, is the key link determining the success or failure of the reform. However, there are still some drawbacks in the present curriculum evaluation.This paper makes an analysis of these drawbacks by means of the literature approach and interviewing approach and make a study of the evaluating principle, content and means, with the Essentials of the Basic Education Curriculum Reform and the Chinese Curriculum Standard as the guide. The author here puts forward the measures of the primary school Chinese curriculum evaluation which can promote students' development. The measures are of theoretical value and significance for practice.This paper consists of three parts.Part I, the status quo of the primary school Chinese curriculum evaluation.This part analyses the status quo of the present primary school curriculum evaluation and points out the problemsexisting in the present primary school curriculum evaluation and the reasons for this.Part II, the synopsis of the primary school new Chinese curriculum evaluation.The part gives a succinct account of the implication, significance, and principles of the primary school curriculum evaluation in order that people may have a right and comprehensive understanding of the new curriculum theory.Part III , the measures of the primary school curriculum evaluationThis part proposes the objective, content and means of the primary school curriculum evaluation with respect to three dimensions (knowledge & ability, process & ways, and emotional attitude & view of value) and five aspects (Chinese character knowing and writing, reading , oral communication and comprehensive study) in the primary school Chinese new curriculum evaluation.To sum up, the primary school curriculum evaluation, an important part of the primary school curriculum reform,can effectively evaluate and test the results of this reform. The primary school curriculum evaluation reform must center around the reform of the curriculum concept, objective, content and ways of study and move towards being modern, all-round, scientific, comprehensive and diverse.In summary, PSCE an important part of the PSC Reform, can effectively evaluate and test the result of the PSC Reform,PRCE reform must center around the reformation of the curriculum concept, objective, content and way of study and move towards being modern, complete, scientific, comprehensive and diverse.
