The evaluation of teaching material is a process to describe and analyse the material and its characteristics based on set of organized norms and methods. It's aims is to judge the ingenerated value and characteristics of them. The evaluation plays an important role in teaching material reform------it's an end of a complete reform as well as a beginning for the reformto continue. To evaluate the material scientifically and quantificationaliy, a scientific evaluation system needs to be set up. To set up a system of evaluation is to classify or resolve the abstract and general evaluation, to form a series of specific, clear, measurable, behaviorized and operable standards of evaluation.To set up a system of sciatic physics teaching material evaluation, to evaluate physical teaching material is the great need of teaching material reform in market economy days. In recent years, our country has taken reform of teaching material, and allows every region to edit teaching materials of different styles. In this case, physics teaching materials of different editions, qualities and levels are unavoidable. Without an evaluation standard, it'll be difficult for the users to decide. Therefore, to build a teaching material evaluation system is in great need, which aim is to make full use of evaluation to keep the fittest and eliminate these of low quality.This article sets up a teaching material evaluation system to evaluate the current physics teaching materials. The article consists of 5 parts.-Part I .This part is to limit physics teaching materials, to introduce the principles for editing, to describe the current case of editing and indicate the importance of setting up the teaching material evaluation system.Part II .To state the general thesis. This part is to describe thedeveloping history of teaching materials evaluation system in china, to briefly introduce the characteristics of teaching materials evaluation system in different historical period. It also discusses measures china has adopted since PRC was founded especially after the year 1978. With the social developing, and teaching improving, modern teaching methods like Teaching Theory of Establishing, Integrated Teaching Method and Studying Method has been concentrated on. This article introduces characteristics and functions of the three theories, and influences on teaching materials compiled.To set up a teaching materials evaluation system, a certain principle is needed. The principle of direction, objection, science and practicability is essential. At the same time, two methods of calculating value of everyindex------method of Experts Investigation and method of GradationAnalysis are discussed in the article.Part III. This part is mainly to set up the teaching materials evaluation system. We create a teaching materials evaluation system based on the goal of teaching materials evaluation system and the designing principle. Also considers a lot of books such as ((Judging Standard of Teaching Material)), ((Physics Teaching Precis of Common Senior High School of Full Day)), ((Investigating Diagram of Teaching Materials Evaluation)) (by Yan Jinduo), {System of Evaluating physics books for Juniors)) (by Feng Shuli and Tian Shikun) . The system contains 7 Standards of Grade A and 31 Standards of Grade B.And then, we analyse every aspects of teaching materials evaluation system guided by modern education theory, teaching thought. To do so we also consider {The outline of Basic Course Reform)), and teaching method, curriculum method, pedagogy and psychology.We make 2 diagrams to count the value of these 2 Grades, investigate specialists on physics education and experienced physics teachers respectively. 18 specialists fill in the diagram for Grade A, and get anequation to evaluate the teaching material of senior physics.
