This research aims to probe into the current situation and relationship between the leader behavior of the Macau secondary schools and the school efficacy; moreover, to analyze the difference between the leader behavior of the Macau secondary schools and the school efficacy in the school environment variation and school type variation; and to probe into the predictability of the variations of teacher, school environment, school type and leader behavior in the school efficacy. This investigation of research was proceeded through the "Leader Behavior Descripti .LeaderBehavor Ebscript SSchod fffiacy Measurement Questionnaire" in self-editing. And the research targets are the secondary teachers in Macau region. Sampling method is based on the types of schools (such as Catholicism schools, Christianity schools, mass organizations and governmental schools) and selects several schools with different types of which 4 from Catholicism schools, 3 from Christianity schools, 4 from mass organizations and 2 from governmental schools. The issues of questionnaires are 300 in total and 230 have been retrieved. After get rid of 10 unspecified questionnaires, the effective questionnaires are 220 in total, the useful rate is 95%. In order to sum up the conclusion and provide suggestions, the SPSS 10.0 software program was used to proceed each statistics analysis on the retrieved information.This research has 5 chapters. Chapter One is Preface which aims to elaborate the motivation and the goal of this research, to raise research issues and assumptions and to illustrate the research limits and the explanation of important words, etc. Chapter Two is Literature Review. These reviews discuss the relationship among the leadership, the school efficacy, the leader behavior and the school efficacy. Our research theory was based on the above aspects. Chapter Three is Research Method and Practice which raises the illustration to the research structure, the research target, the research tool and the method of information disposal. Chapter Four is Research Result and Discussion. Chapter Five is Conclusion and Suggestion which raises the conclusion and the suggestions for the reference of Macau educational administration institution, the Macau secondary school leaders and the future researchers according to research result and discovery. The research result has discovered the followings:1. The leader behavior of Macau secondary schools tends to high initiating structure & high consideration or low initiating structure & low consideration. And in the aspect of school efficacy, there are 8 schools higher than the average scores and 5 schools lower than the average scores. As a whole, the school efficacy in Macau is better in general.2. In different school environment variation, except the religion has no remarkabledifference on school efficacy, the other two variations of the school scale and the school foundation history have remarkable difference. Where the school scale is larger, and the school foundation history is longer, its school efficacy is better.3. In different school environment variation, except the school foundation history has remarkable difference on leader behavior, the other two variations of the school scale and the religion have no remarkable difference. Where the school foundation history is longer, the leader behavior is better.4. The school efficacy has difference in the governmental schools and the private schools. The efficacy in the private schools is better.5. The leader behavior has difference in the governmental schools and the private schools. The leader behavior in the private schools is better than in the governmental schools.6. There is correlation between secondary leader behavior and school efficacy, in which there is the highest school efficacy in the schools with high initiating structure & high consideration, and there is the lowest school efficacy in the schools with low initiating structure & low consideration.7.
