General Of Higher Vocational Education Research

The appearance of the vocational and technological education in general colleges and universities is the result of the splitting-up of the talent classification and education categories in modern society,and it is also a mode of school-running system to realize the strategic decision on rapidly developing Higher Education of Vacation and Technology (HEVT) in our country,to make good use of the resources now available,and to carry out the "open-styled" HEVT. However,not all general colleges and universities should offer vocational and technological education. Even if they do offer the majors or courses on HEVT,it won't change the characteristics of them.Due to the hastily beginning and excessively developed scale of the vocational and technological education in most general colleges and universities in China,there exist a series of problems on the school-running conditions,qualities and mechanism,which needs us to introduce the experience on vocational and technological education from colleges and universities abroad. On the basis of the experience,we should make reforms and innovations on the conception of the talent,quality and development of higher education,try our best to open up a new prospect on HEVT-colleges have features ,majors have characteristics and students have specialties-and make the vocational and technological education of general college and universities play a leading role in the development of the HEVT. In addition,the thesis also offers some suggestions on how to develop the vocational and technological education in general colleges and universities.
