Hunan Physical Education Elective Course Teaching Mode Analysis And Strategy Study

With the deepening reform in the physical education teaching in colleges and universities, the physical education has come to a variety of teaching patterns centering on the teaching thoughts of Health First and Life-long physical education. The optional course of the physical education is now one of the present major teaching patterns, thus the discussion on its optional course can not only give impetus to the physical education teaching for further reform, but also has its effects and practical significance on the improvement of college students abilities of. the physical education, the development of their personalities, and the training of their qualities.Now the research on the teaching pattern of the physical education optional course, which is open to the students in grade two, has been taken in some colleges and universities of Hunan province. But it was just a course selection. It lacked an integrated study on its teaching. According to the actual situation of general colleges and universities in Hunan province, this thesis, in the light of the basic theory of Educology and Physical education. Through investigating on some teachers and students about the optional course of the physical education, and by analyzing and discussing the current teaching conditions, the teaching effects and the teaching evaluation of the present teaching pattern of physical education optional course, the results in the thesis showed as following: the teaching of the physical education in colleges and universities of Hunan prorince has 6 teching patterns, such as tradtional type, two-stage type, optionalcourse type, compound type, basic course-to-club type and specialty type. And 21 colleges and universities,have taken the optional course of the physical education. Their sports arenas, teaching institutions and teachers can basically supply physical education optional course a good condition. But the items for the optional course are not enough, the physical education optional course teaching is also lack of distinctive physical education materials and a scientific teaching evaluation.A profound and comprehensive research was made through questionnaire, statistics, interviewing experts and consulting documents. Corresponding counter measures for the physical education teaching reform in colleges and universities were advanced: adopting two-stage type and compound type instead of the basic physical education optional course. In some colleges and universities with good teaching condition, optional course type-to- club type can be adopted.lt has provided the consultant basic for the teaching reform of the physical education optional course in Colleges and universities of Hunan province. And aiming at pushing forward the teaching reform of physical education optional course in colleges and universities in Hunan province.
