As we are entering the 21st century, all countries (whether the developed countries or the developing countries) began to carry through educational reform to improve the quality of elementary education. Health education, especially school health mode, as an important part of elementary educational reform, is the key of improving the status of the youth and obtaining the aim of education.The U.S.A is a developed country whose school health mode is well-rounded. The thesis tries to describe and analyze the development of school health mode of the U.S.A in order to explain that School Health Promoting Mode, which is the reflection of integrated health and is an answer for the tide of modern times, is the outcome of the development of the school health. Comprehensive School Health Program is an image of School Health Promoting Mode. This thesis also sets forth the meaning, the theoretic foundations, the content and the values of Comprehensive School Health Program and tries to provide reference for the research and practices of school health mode of our country by analyzing the history and status in quo of school health mode of the U.S.A. Finally, this thesis forecasts the trend of school health mode of China.There are four parts in this thesis:Part one explains the background, the aim and the values of this thesis.Part two describes and analyzes the development of school health mode in the U.S.A through factor analysis and history analysis.Part three sets forth the meaning, the theoretic foundations, the content and the values of Comprehensive School Health Program, which is an image of school health promoting mode.Part four describes the development of school health mode in China, analyzes the realities and problems of our current school health mode, discusses the revelation from the school health promoting mode of the U.S.A. and indicates the trend of school health mode in China.
