Study On School Health Education Of Elementary And Middle School In America

Encountering all kinds of challenges of the new century, all the countries a round the world, no matter the developed countries or the developing countries, begin to reform education thoroughly to improve the quality of schooling, especially elementary e ducation. The health of students is a main factor of affecting their school achievements and lifelong happiness and also a main component of schooling object. Health education is becoming an important content of elementary education reform gradually, how to carry out the health education effectively to improve the development of health thoroughly, becomes a practical education issue that we must focus on.The U.S. A is one of the countries which launched the health education earliest, and also among the countries whose development of education comparatively ripe. The thesis tries to describe and analyze the historical development of school health and present conditions, revealing that the improvement of school health is the inexorable trend of the development of school health education. Furthermore, providing enlightenment and helping measures for advancing school health education for our school.There are four parts in this thesis. Part one explains the background, research methods, the aim and the meanings of this thesis. Part two describes and analyzes the development of school health education in the U.S.A by using historical analysis,which basing on a great deal of historical documents. Part three narrates and analyzes the object, content, the practice of course, activity, organizations, relative people, course time, and teachers training by using educational construction analysis. Part four narrates briefly the development of school health education in China,and analyzes the realities and problems of our current school health education,and provides some enlightenment by comparing the USA school health education,and forecasts the trend of development of school health education in China in the future.
