The paper consulted a lot of articles and books about class administer. It is an important problem in class administer that different type of group affected class administer in its way. The problem just talked about this problem from theoretical and practical way. In theoretical exposition, I analyzed the functions of formed group and informal group in class. At the same time, the analyses on questionnaires investigate proved that the students admitted the functions of the two types of group. So I concluded that the teacher should adjust and unit the two types of group in order to develop abundantly the functions of formal group and informal group.First, dissecting the functions of formal group. The development of group consists of several stages, such as loosely organized group, united group, and collective (or selfish departmental group). Class collective is not only the object of education, but also the large power of education. At the same time, class collective is an important factor in promoting the development of the students' individuality, and it can foster the students' self-education class administer.Secondly, analysis to the functions of informal group. The informal group is formed spontaneously, so it has its distinctive feature different from formal group. The informal group couldn't be replaced by the formal group in satisfying the needs of the students. The forming of self-concept, the reference group in the students' mind, the companion relationship of students, and the question of how to adapt the society are all important factors in affecting the growing of the students. At the same time, they are also closely related with informed group. We can't deny that the informal group can influence the students with their growing up not only positively but also negatively, particularly to the "anti-class" informal group.Thirdly, investigating three class of grade two in junior middle school, finding out the students' companion relationship conditions of every class, and finding out their attitude to formal and informal group. The result showed that the junior middle school students admit the sense of com- panion in their study and life. The result testified the important sense of the formal and informal group in students' growing up. Fourthly, based on these analyses, I raised the point that the group effect must be valued. On the one hand, the teacher should organize and establish the class collective consciously. On the other hand, the teacher should conformity the formal group and informal group. Thus, the two groups' function will be both displayed, and the students will grow up healthily and overall.
