We generally believe that a person's development is regular, and it follows the regularity of physiology and psychology. As long as we educate the student according to these regulations, they can follow the sequence and advance gradually. Non-continuous education comprehends man and education from the living conditions of human being, which believe that a person's coming into being is not only pre-arranged or regular but also non-continuous and irregular. The existing problems in student' life is the most fundamental subject of this educational thought, which opened a new realm for education research. This thought has important meaning to our present studying in theory or in reality. This thesis tries to probe the theories of non-continuous education and want to find a new viewpoint of comprehending our present education and a new way of solving our present educational problems.Non-continuous education thinks that the two kinds of typical educational viewpoints in the past, whether it is a view of developing man's natural character on behalf of Rousseau or a positive mold being represented by Herbart, both of them based on the person's continuous development while neglected that the person develop non-continuously and irregularly, either. Non-continuous education aims to process education according to the person's non-continuous development. By theories research it is not difficult to find that different philosophical theories result in two different developmental viewpoints. Epistemological philosophy look for a solution of " what is man", which is a eternal problem of human being, and the definition of rational person cast a basic mode of comprehending person in western traditional philosophy. Thistheory believes that the development of everything in the world including man has certain regulations, and man who has reasonableness can discover, master and make use of it. The development of educational theory means to discover man's developmental regularity gradually. But regularity is a kind of continuity, because this kind of development in regard to its past can be explained of; In regard to its future, can be predicted of too. Existential philosophy maintains that we can not only ask " what is man" and comprehend the person only from epistemology and man's enginery if we want to know and understand man really, otherwise it is easy to result in explaining the person from his function. This philosophy believes the most important is to comprehend the person from his circumstances. Because of the abundant and complex of human being's existence and the changeability of society life the person doesn't always develop according to a pre-arranged route or regulations .The becoming of a human being is non-continuous, not staged and a kind of satori. Firstly, man's non-continuous development mainly be showed in the irrational part, for example emotion, wishes, interests, and so on, which differ from rational thinking is non-continuous, individual and suddenly changeable; Secondly, a person conduct oneself by a series of behavior and incidents, and incidents can't be forecasted or explained which is non-continuous; Thirdly, seen from inside position as a proceed of denying non-original ego and affirming to original ego, the becoming of person's ego is non-continuous, leaping and insightful. Known from above, the person's development is not only continuous but also non-continuous, which is a unification of continuity and non-continuity.Although former education has fundamentally uncovered the essence of education and obtained incomparable great achievement, but it has a certain limitation because it only pay attention to the regularity and continuity of man's development while has neglected the irregularity andnon-continuity of concrete person's development. It mainly shows as follows: regarding the student as a cognitive object; Seeing the student as a universal and nonfigurative person; attaching importance to the initiation of knowledge and cultivation of intelligence, but disregarding problems in the life...
