As a relatively independent geographical and cultural unit, the area of Huizhou is not only a concept of geography, but also a concept of history. Many researchers on Hui-study choose the special traditional situation of education in Huizhou as their research object, but the current situation of education in Huizhou hasn't come into the scope of researches.This article concerns that after losing the support of traditional merchant and clan of Huizhou, the area of Huizhou takes on another look about the situation and the values of education in the new political and economical background of contemporary social changes. Then the article compares them with the traditional education of the same area, and analyses the change in sociological point.In traditional Huizhou rural area, many people think their highest goal is to be official, because being official is the best way to improve the status of the clan. With the support of the traditional merchant and clan, the community of Huizhou has perfect education in school, clan and vocation, which makes the area keep an extraordinary characteristic in educational culture. Now, in the contemporary social background, the social education in Huizhou has become an important supplement to the region's education. In the meantime, the education of school and family of this community, however, has lost its peculiarity and has shown a similar characteristic to other rural community to a great extent. Some factors that exited in contemporary Huizhou block some young people in Huizhou from continuing their study after finishing nine-year compulsory education, these factors involved lack of educational funds, the values that men are superior to women and the influence of parents who think " It is no use studying " on their children.Through comparison between the traditional and contemporary education, we find some new problems that existed in the present education of Huizhou, and this article tries to pose some suggestions to solve these problems. First, strengthen the function of fundamental organizations of rural community, that is, with the aid of non-profit organizations, the community can develop kinds of rural education, and local political and economic organizations should provide support and encouragement in spiritual and material for the development of local education. Second, by developing the guide and inkling function of the mass communication, we can propagandize the behavior of attaching importance to education. And this can help us to promote the makeup of contemporary Huizhou rural community's educational culture. Third, with local social recourses, we can develop the vocational education of contemporary Huizhou and develop social education to realize the integration of education and society of contemporary Huizhou rural community. We hope the education and the society to realize the virtuous interaction.
