One of the outstanding characteristics of the modern society is the prevalence of rationalism.Under the direction of imperious and despot rationalism, everything not rational is repudiated relentlessly and the totality as a human being is losing when this being has become that of pure instrumentality. The campus life, seperated from a man's total life, has become the preparation of the future life, and the instruction, seperated from the curriculum, has become only a instrument and endless pursuit of various teaching technology and methods, and the curriculum like a blueprint, prescribes the direction and probability of a man's development as the confluence of all sorts of knowledge in the history process. This kind of curriculum, which we call it the model curriculum, exhibits all knowledge with undoubtable certainty .Itis supposed that students are able to develop themselves in accordance with fixed criteria and in certain directions through definite subjects and relevant methods .In this curriculum teachers are in charge of whole knowledge and definite answers to problems while students are thought to be only passive receivers, the subjectivity of teachers to the course is emphasized while tha.t of students to the course is not accepted,the logicality and normalization of knowledge are emphasized while the significance of knowledge to students' present lives is not embodied.We are living in a society of turning, however, our lives have changed greatly with the globalization process of the economy and the informationalization process of the society, which forces every one of us to adjust with greater changes. A new view of value is advocated, a view which emphasizes the compat ibi lity of man and man, man and nature, or man and himself in the globalized era. We are Supposed to give up the view that rationality only exists iv science and technology and this establish a view of the life rational i ty which puts together the rationality of science and technology and the rationality of humanities. It is important that a kind of new people should be cultivated, the newness of a man does not so much exist in his ability to know and control the world as his original construction and ability to associate and cooperate. Text curriculum is the product of the requirement of the era .The definition of the text as an open structure is not so much unchangeable as changing constantly, that is to say, it is produced during the process of exchanges and conversations among the writers, readers and texts. -Text curriculum focuses on individual experience, which means every one can define the text on the basis of different understanding of it and assimilates it by hisown construction of the whole spiritual world In the process, there is no loser, every one can enjoy the success.The Shifting from the view of model curriculum to the view of text curriculum is not only a change of view but also a change in the whole process of research on curriculum, the development, the instruction and even the assessment. (1) Curriculum development. The experts of curriculum have been developing courses in tradition, while teachers and students have been responsible only for realizing curriculum plans and receiving the subjects of courses . On the view of the text curriculum however, it is emphasized that teachers and students participate together in the development of courses. Teachers participate through teaching, selecting, adopting and developing when students participate with their experiences and reconstruction of courses in learning activities. (2) Curriculum's instruction. Instruction and curriculum are not detached but are two sides of a coin. Instruction is a process of conversation between teachers and students. Teachers are subjects to students and vice versa. When they respect each other, a new type of so-called "I-you" relationship is formed. Instruction is like a game of cooperation between teachers and students. In this game, teachers and students participate with their own totality. They enjoy the happiness...
