Beginning with the social background of the age of economic knowledge, this dissertation points out that the age of economic knowledge and the far-reaching development of china's socialist reform are a great challenge to moral education and that moral education must change from "'task mode" to ''independence mode" so as to adjust to new requirements. Therefore, the only effective way is to construct the moral education system of sustainable development, improve the practical effect of moral education and make it a prerequisite for the promotion of present-day youngster's moral and ideological quality and comprehensive quality. The idea of sustainable development in moral education is a basic and far-sighted future education conception, which requires sustainable development in values and the implementation of it in practice in order to cultivate the student into a new talent who can cater for the requirement of social development. To make moral education of sustainable development come into reality, we must construct a system. Only by doing so can we distinguish relations of all kinds and moral education is in the direction of sustainable development. It is the construction of the system of sustainable development in moral education that is the novelty of the dissertation.On the theoretical basis of man's all-round development in Maxims, humanistic subject education, quality education and incorporated educational mode in the west, and on the principle of the combination of inheritance and creativity, science and subject, entirety and gradation, reality and prediction, the moral education system of sustainable development, as a "subject-development" one, makes a reasonable allocation of the six sub-systems of the aim, content, approach, way, management and assessment according to time and space , thus forming a moral education system which is a whole course in time and all-inclusive in space to have an overall effect. Limited by space, the dissertation only touches upon and probes the construction of the aim, content and way of moral education system and the concerning questions. The construction of every moral education system must be practical according to the objective requirements of social development and abiding by the development law of students' ideology and morality. It must assure the gradation of moral education at every educational stage, reflecting the characteristics of the time as well as related to practical situation of the students.To realize ultimately the system discussed, we must handle properly the relations between the initial elements of the system and make them combine organically and develop with energy and vitality. Meanwhile, we shall awaken the consciousness of sustainable development in all the social members, and the men in the field of moral education with the idea of the moral education system of sustainable development, change educational concepts, strengthen the construction of the managerial system of moral education, create a better environment and thus pave the way for the ultimate realization of the moral education system of sustainable development.
