For native language teaching, spoken Chinese is key part of Chinese class teaching. In the view of source of language development, oral communication came before written exchange. As for objective law of mother tongue learning, children usually begin to learn oral language first and afterwards writing words and articles. Therefore Chinese language teaching must abide by this rule, having spoken language at the top position of language teaching.What is the condition of our listen-spoken practice before? What is the different between the listen-spoken practice and present oral communication? Why did the New Curriculum Standard named the listen-spoken practice oral communication? And what is the oral communication talking about?This article focuses on the existing two main defects of present spoken language teaching, pointing out the problems result from the negligence of communication sense and studying how to follow up the New Curriculum Standard for practical class teaching and strengthen the sense of communication of oral teaching ideologically and operationally.
