| The paradox that human beings are searching for freedom under a restrictive condition is the cause for motivation mechanism to come into being. The ultimate goal of motivation mechanism in higher education institutions is to achieve self-achievement and self-development of the objects which are the students in this case. However, today's motivation mechanism in higher education institution represented by scholarship system is built on the pinetree-shape operating system which is a cross between qualitative and quantitative system pivoting on students' achievement, with working and feelings as its supplementary factors. Under this mechanism are the two behavioral logical factors, namely the stratification effect and individuality effect. From the practical point of view, there arise some paradoxes in the motivation mechanism in higher education institutions, such as the deviation between the regulations and control, the lack of awarding and punishment, the divorcement between knowing and acting. From the theoretical point of view, the problems of obturation, partiality in regulation implementation, and unilateralization in role playing are existing in the motivation mechanism.This article explores the rational construction of motivation mechanism in higher education institutions its scientific rationale, the pertinence of its constructions, and its efficiency and reasonable allocation. A clear and adaptable objective, the maximal meet of the objects' demand, and the timing and accuracy are the scientific concepts of motivation mechanism. The impact of social transformation on higher education institutions, and the change of value attitude among university students are the concept of actual pertinence; while the establishment of motivation objectives, innovation in fulfillment measures, effective control of the objects in motivation process, the optimalization of motivationenvironment is the concept of efficiency control and reasonable allocation of motivation factors. |
