Case study is a very popular teaching method in the countries developed in education such as the Unites States and the United Kingdom, it has the value of real practice for the efficiency of teaching procedure which can not be substituted by other teaching measures. Case study can create a situation suitable for study and practice with enjoyable learning environment through analysis and discussion of real facts in the practices, so the theory and practice can be combined together with real case and the students could obtain the basic ability for using the theory to solve the problem in the practice through analysis and comprehensive study which led to creative thinking.With development of education reform in politic science, the importance and effects of case study as a teaching method is recognized and used in the teaching process. This thesis summarizes the teaching experiences of using the method of case study during author's teaching practice for politic science in the university, at the same time, significance, function, principle, procedure and precautions of case study for teaching are discussed systematically, and concerned theory and regularity for case study in politic science are investigated.The suggestions and the conclusions in this thesis can improve the rational education procedure with case study in politic science, the students ability for creativity and for analyzing and solving problem can be increased. Through case study the interactions between student and teacher in teaching procedure can be enhanced towards a better understanding of teaching contents.
