The essence of quality education is to promote man's subject. And subject participation is a very important way to develop students' subject. Political education is a critical carrier and way of elementary education project. It also undertakes a significant historical task of fostering new generation. However, in the respect of political education teaching, for a long time, we have been deeply affected by the thinking "Teaching should center on accepting knowledge" which was raised by Carov from Former Soviet Union. The thinking makes the teaching of political education mainly depend on inculcating, makes the teaching methods single, makes the students passive and act a supporting role, as a result, they cannot really participate in teaching activities. The teaching model ignores the development in students' subject; moreover, there's obvious utilitarianism in it. In accordance with this situation, this article questions students' subject participation in high-school political education, with the methods of questionnaire and survey combined with theory analysis. The whole article consists of 5 parts.Part one: Introduce the concept of students' subject and the comprehension of students' subject participation, and defmitude the teaching value of students' subject participation in political education, at a angle of developing students' subject and performing quality education in class as well as promoting students' individual development.Part two: Through questionnaire combined with survey from students' participation time, scope, form, role and so on, analyze students' Participation in political education at current situation so as to make the definite acquaintance about it.Part three: Analyze the causes, which generate unsatisfactory circumstances of students' subject participation in political education, from five kinds of obstacles including the education viewpoint, the value rule, the political textbook, the teacher and the theoretic development so that canawaken the teachers to pay attention to this problem.Part four: Give the strategy of students' subject participation in political education from the following four aspects: First, Changing teachers' teaching attitude is the direction of students' subject participation.Second, Creating the situation is the premise of students' subject participation.Third, Fostering participation awareness is critical for students' subject participation.Fourth, Offering lots of studying activities is a great guarantee for students' subject participation.Part five: In accordance with reform regarding political education teaching in some schools, two thoughts are given about the situation of students' subject participation in teaching.
