It's necessary that we pay more attention to IT-aided composition-writing which is one of the basic contents of Chinese language teaching in high schools. The design of composition-teaching software is one of the most urgent problems to be solved In this paper, the value of IT-aided writing will be proved effective according to psychological principles, and consequently, based on my experience of designing "IT-aided writing composition this way system ", how to design composition-teaching software in high schools will be discussedStudies by psychological specialists in Chinese language teaching show that students' ability of composition-writing depends greatly on improving their levels of observing surroundings, firing their imagination, thinking creatively, arousing their interest in composition-writing and enriching their feelings about the world. Compared to traditional teaching method, the potential applied value of "IT-aided composition writing technology" can be found in five aspects mentioned above. Apparently, it is better than traditional teaching method in solving some problems. And what's more, it can help solve problems which can't be solved with traditional teaching method.The most important work to do in IT-aided composition-teaching software designing is to make use of both properly. It consists of structure arrangements, ways of presentation, control of presentation and extensive training of different grades. To meet requirements stated above, we divide "IT-aided writing composition this way system"into three parts: part of Internet, part of teaching and part of teaching materials. This system has been put into use by Chinese language teachers in many places, such as Shanghai, Jiangsu , Zhejiang and Hongkong etc. At the same time, many different kinds of mode of making use of it have been created. With the help of this system, teachers can teach composition-writing in three different ways. They are: controlled, half-controlled and uncontrolled. Commenting on students' compositions in the Internet way is also being developed.This paper is a summary of my practice about putting IT into high school composition-writing in classes.
