Fill-in-the-blanks Test/Exercise is test questions that conceal partial contents and demand integrating on the basis of fixed inspecting function and understanding. It is a kind of objectivity test questions in which answer is restrained strongly. According to different material-style, fill-in-the-blanks test/exercise have three kinds of models that are filling-words-in-the-blanks test/exercise,filling-tables-in-the-blanks test/exercise and filling-maps-in-the-blanks test/exercise.On account of historiography's unreappearance and fill-in-the-blanks test/exercise can test mastery level of basic history knowledge, it becomes a kind of fundamental test questions, which plays an important role in history test. Along with "element education" development, inspecting function of fill-in-the-blanks test/exercise gains more excavating, it not only increases the effect of inspecting memory capability, but it can inspect comprehensive and application capability which had been regarded as the impossible thing.Section one instructs its three types of models of fill-in-the-blanks test/exercise.Section two analyses its inspecting function, such as memory capability, comprehensive capability and application capability.Section three discusses proposition rules from five respects.Section four explains the first part of proposition technique, which is design technique.Section five explores the second part of the proposition technique, which is regulation technique.In the end of the thesis I give the general comment about fill-in-the-blanks test/exercise and put forward some unsolved questions related to the study.
