Since Singapore had won independence, it's economic has developed rapidly as if a phoenix revived from ashes and it has become one of "The Asian Four Dragons". Not only Singapore's economic has developed in high speed and the material life of it' people has come up to a higher standard, but also the mental attitude of it's people has been praised everywhere. Singapore's achievement is closely related with the pattern of its moral education. The thesis tries to get some inspirations to help our country achieve modernization of moral education from the research of Singapore's school moral education.This thesis is organized as follows:The part one: This thesis introduces the difference of China's academic circles about the area in moral education and adduces several definition of moral education. Then the thesis ascertains the scope and definition of moral education according as the author's comprehension. On the base of analyzing and synthesizing four representative definition of patterns, the thesis ascertains the concept of pattern the author believes. This thesis also analyzes characteristics and functions of pattern simply. Lastly the thesis ascertains the definition of the pattern of moral education according to the author's comprehension.The part two: The thesis introduces the social background how the pattern of school moral education in Singapore formed. The thesis summarizes its form and structure. Then it analyzes the characteristic of the pattern of school moral education in Singapore. Lastly the thesis summarizes the advantages and disadvantages.The part three: In order to propel the process of modernization of moral education we should do as the following: Firstly, the government must pay more attention to the moral education. Secondly, we should set up the principle that we regard students as foundation, insist on living direction of value of moral education. Thirdly, we should combine moral education with law control. Fourthly, we should enlarge good cultural tradition and absorb civilized result all over the world. Fifthly, we should broaden the content of moral education and the channel for education. Lastly, we should lay stress on the practicality and permeability of moral education.
