As far as today's China education is concerned, it is very important to build a school moral education system which reflecting the national spirits and Chinese cultural characteristics. An essential way is to learn from other country's successful practices.As one of "The Asian Four Dragons", not only Singapore's economic has developed in high speed ,but also the mental attitude of it's people has been praised everywhere. Singapore's achievement is closely related with the pattern of its moral education. Although the differences of social system between China and Singapore, the two countries both share similar cultural roots, and both encountered a conflict between Eastern and Western culture in the process of modernization. By strengthening school moral education, Singapore promotes it's cultural identity and handles the nation's common values issues, from this perspective, learning from Singapore's practices, we can get some inspirations to help our country achieve modernization of moral education.Based on the above understanding, the paper chooses the school moral education in stage of compulsory education of China and Singapore as the object of study, adopts literature method, history method, comparative method and so on to make the study. The paper consists of six parts, the first part mainly explains the background of this research, does up the documents about the research, carries out the way of thinking and methods of the research, and defines the main concepts and related areas. The second part introduces the social and cultural background and makes a comparison of each country's compulsory education system. The following parts compares the intentions, contents of the courses, means and methods and evaluation of moral education. The last part, it gives six aspects of advice. Firstly, the government must pay more attention to the moral education. Secondly, we should set up the principle that we regard students as foundation, insist on living direction of value of moral education .Thirdly, we should combine moral education with law control. Fourthly, we should enlarge good cultural tradition and absorb civilized result all over the world. Fifthly, we should broaden the content of moral education and the channel for education. Lastly, we should lay stress on the practicality and permeability of moral education.
