This thesis explores and analyzes the problem existing in middle school English reviewing lessons, using modern philosophy as the guidance of methodology, modem pedagogy, educational psychology and teaching theory in English as theoretical basis, combining the author's teaching experience ,putting theory into practice ,constructing the models of teaching for middle school English reviewing lessons,and attempts to give practicable advice .The thesis consists of four parts.The first part defines what there-viewing lessons mean,analyzes the status quo, raises the questions and gives the methodology for research.The second part makes use of the philosophy (Embodied Philosophy), pedagogy (Humanism) and psychology (Constructivism), as well as the English teaching methodology(the Nature Approach).The third part adopts different reviewing models of teaching according to different contents and the students' current cognitive level, analyzes the elements of effective teaching, reflects some cases, to improve the effectiveness in English reviewing lessons and train the students how to learn.The fourth part ,based on the analysis and discussion above, draws some conclusion.
