The backbone teacher is a special community La teacher group, and is a main power that puts our quality education into effect. The quality and quantity of the backbone teacher represent the higher level of the teacher group, and is a key of the quality education. Their position and function is very important in our education. The continuing education of the backbone teacher can increase their quality and level of educating and teaching. Just for this reason, the continuing education of the backbone teacher is very important And more and more people pay attention to this problem. In this paper, the writer limited the study field in city Z, in order that the study could have the breakthrough in a small scope, and can promote the development of the backbone teacher's continuing education in a big scope.In the part of preface, the paper described the study's background, meaning and the way of thinking.In the part of theory research, the paper defined the relevant concept; made a thorough summarize of the present situation and trend of the continuing education of the backbone teacher in junior middle school by the way of document summarization. On this basis, the writer made the next research.In the part of practice research, the paper took use of the combined methods of the quantitative research and qualitative research, systematically analyzed the continuing education of the backbone teacher in junior middle school in order to find questions, reasons and the fulcrum to solve problems from here.In the part of conclusion, the paper put forward some suggestions for the work of the continuing education of the backbone teacher in junior middle school in city Z: the administrative department of education should regard the teacher as the root of the continuing education of the backbone teacher, and work according to local situation. The teacher training institution should be around the center of the backbone teacher, and regard the development of the backbone teacher as their goal. The backbone teachers should take part in the continuing education actively, research teaching and learning, and seek the development themselves while they are promoting their students. Every school should strengthen the work of teachers training and pay more attention to the usage of the backbone teacher.
