The "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Deepening the Reform of the Teaching Staff Construction in the New Era" proposes that the most important task of promoting education in the new era is to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff.lt is the goal of continuing education for teachers in the new era to build a high-quality professional and innovative teaching team with noble ethics,superb business,reasonable structure and full of vitality.Constantly updating the educational concept and improving the ability of education,teaching and research are the requirements of the development of the times.In order to improve the construction of the teaching staff,Ezhou has continuously increased investment in continuing education of teachers in recent years,and has achieved problems while showing problems in many aspects.This article takes the current status of continuing education of physical education teachers in junior middle schools in Ezhou as the research object,and uses literature methods,questionnaire surveys,mathematical statistics and other methods to investigate the basic conditions of continuing education of physical education teachers in junior middle schools in Ezhou and the needs of teachers,discover the problems in continuing education of physical education teachers in junior middle schools in Ezhou City,explore the reasons behind them,and put forward suggestions for improving the continuing education of physical education teachers in junior high schools.After investigation and analysis,this study reached the following conclusions:1.The structure of physical education teachers in junior middle schools in Ezhou needs to be improved;2.All junior high school physical education teachers in Ezhou participate in continuing education and training.There is no significant difference between urban and rural physical education teachers in terms of personnel,funding,and incentive mechanism.The opportunity for urban and rural physical education teachers to participate in continuing education is fair.The purpose of physical education teachers to participate in continuing education and training is clear.By participating in continuing education and training,physical education teachers have improved their scientific research ability and education and teaching ability;3.The form of continuing education and training with the participation of sports teachers in Ezhou City is single;4.One-sided assessment and evaluation methods in the process of continuing education and training,lack of follow-up evaluation after the training;5.The course content is not practical and ignores the needs of physical education teachers;6.The incentive mechanism is not perfect;7.Insufficient funding for continuing education.According to the above conclusions,the following suggestions are made:1.Relevant departments should improve the structure of physical education teachers in Ezhou City;2.Continue to promote full-staff training and actively carry out training to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas;3.The competent education department establishes long-term planning,improves the management system,and enriches training forms;4.Improve the assessment and evaluation mechanism;5.Develop innovative continuing education courses and optimize the content of continuing education training to meet the actual needs of teachers;6.Improve the incentive mechanism and improve the subjective initiative of physical education teachers;7.Broaden the sources of funding to ensure that continuing education is implemented.
