Mainland's Four Junior High School Language Textbooks For Comparison

Teaching materials, as the main carrier of contents of courses, are material base to achieve teaching objectiveness and effects. They play an important role in reform of education. In 19SOs,a great number of new teaching materials spring up in our country under the guidance of the policy"one principle .different versions." Reform in education appears in different forms. In this article, we choose four teaching materials from mem as representatives. They are 《Shanghai system compulsory education junior high school language teaching material(H version) 》, 《 Shanghai nine year system compulsory education junior high school language teaching material(S version) 》,《nine year compulsory education three year system junior high school textbook》 (Person education publishing house,92 version), 《compulsory education three year system junior high school "the unit synthesize the whole to train" four teaching materials of》 (Jiangsu education publishing house).From objectives, systems and contents of compiling the texts, we made some comparison and did some researches on the four materials.With the comparison on objectives, we can see the reflection of this ages spirit in education. Chinese teaching materials in senior high schools develop from "knowledge systematicness" and "materials systematicness'' to " training systematicness". This procedure shows educational circles new understanding of Chinese teachings nature, tasks and law.This article chooses forms, subjects, proportion of intensive and extensive texts and that of foreign texts to make a comparison on contents of materials. Further more, we figure out our own point of view as well.We hope that we can draw a rough outline for the materials of today by comparison, research, discussion on these four materials in 1990s.We also hope it can be the reference for compiling teaching materials in the future.
