Students Moral Self-education Of - A Major Issue Of Moral Education

As a Chinese characteristic term, self-cultivation is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Up to the present, it still embodies its profound realistic significance. From the view of self-cultivation, the paper deals with how to strengthen moral self-cultivation education of university students, which is one of the important problems of current moral education.There are three parts in the thesis. The first part reviews the theory of self-cultivation in our traditional culture and then, on the base, puts forward the concept of moral self-cultivation education and its characteristics. The second part points out the necessity and significance of strengthening moral self-cultivation education of university students, from the point of view of present situation of ideology and moral of university students, construction of socialism spiritual civilization, and the problems in traditional moral education. The third part expounds some countermeasures for strengthening moral self-cultivation education of university students, which include six aspects: defining the content of moral self-cultivation education, concrete ways and carries, guarantee of the external mechanism, construction of the teachers ranks, giving play to the enthusiasm and initiative of students, and the key periodical education.
