Objective:The key point of this paper is about effect of "compound antioxidants"and training on free radical metabolism of skeletal muscles in mice. The author hopes that we can know the metabolism of oxidative free radical at different sports appearance and the protect function of antioxidants, and expects that this article could provide a more theoretical basis for development one antioxidant that is safe, valid but not poisonous and can prevent or delay fatigue producing, for increasing the ability of physical performance, and for nationwide fitness and spots training.Method:128 male wistar mice were randomly divided into four groups: C(Control Group), T(Training Control Group), S("Compound Antioxidants"Supplementation Group), TS( Training "compound antioxidants"Supplementation Group). Each group was feed with normal animal feed. C and T groups drink the pure water, while S and TS groups "compound antioxidants "beverage. After a week, T and TS groups were both trained for 8 weeks on the animal run stage. After 9 weeks, the content of MDA, GSH and the activity of SOD,CAT,GSH-PX,GST and AROS capability of skeletal muscle of mice were measured at the rest state, the immediate ends of the fixed load, the immediate ends of exhaustive exercise and 24 hour ends of exhaustive exercise, and the time of exhaustive swimming was measured. All of the data have been processed by SPSS11.5 software package with T-check for the comparison between groups and p<0.05as the standard for markedess. Result:(1) The exhaustive swimming time of T and S groups is both much longer compared with the C group and much shorter compared with the TS group (P<0.05) .(2) MDA content of the C group in skeletal muscle is much higher and SOD,CAT,GSH-PX activity and AROS capability of the C group in skeletal muscle are much lower compared with TS and S groups in the rest state ( P<0.05 ) .GSH content of TS,S and T groups in skeletal muscle are all much higher compared with C group in rest state(P<0.05) .(3) MDA content of the C group in skeletal muscle is much higher. GSH content, AROS capability of C group in skeletal muscle are much lower compared with TS ,S and T groups( P<0.05 ).CAT activity of C group in skeletal muscle is much lower compared with TS and T group (P<0.05) .GSH-PX activity of the TS group in skeletal muscle is much higher compared with C,S and T groups .SOD activity of the TS group in skeletal muscle is much higher compared with T group at the immediate ends of the fixed load (P<0.05) .(4) MDA content of TS and S groups in skeletal muscle are both much lower compared with T and C groups (P<0.05) .GSH content, AROS capability and SOD activity of TS,T and S groups in skeletal muscle are all much higher compared with C group at the immediate ends of exhaustive exercise (P<0.05) .(5)MDA content of TS group in skeletal muscle is much lower compared with C group( P<0.05 ). GSH content, AROS capability and CAT,SOD,GSH-PX activity of TS,T and S groups in skeletal muscle are all much higher compared with C group ( P<0.05 ) . GST activity of TS group in skeletal muscle is much higher compared with C groupat the 24 hours ends of exhaustive exercise ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusions:(l)"compound antioxidants " and training can prolong the exhaustiveswimming time of mice, promote the physical performance of miceand help the exhausted mice restore themselves.(2)"compound antioxidants"and training can obviously increase SOD,GSH-PX,CAT,GST activity, GSH content and AROS capability ofmice in skeletal muscle in rest, inhibit the abnormal rise of SOD,GSH-PX induced by oxidative stress. "Compound antioxidants"andtraining also can decrease MDA of mice in skeletal muscle, inhibitlipid peroxidation and the abnormal decrease of SOD, CAT,GST andAROS capability induced by exhaustive exercise. Our study proved that "compound antioxidants" exactly have the action of anti-free radical, promoting antioxidative capability and the physical performance of mice.
