Beginning with the conception of the term role, the thesis proposesthat middle school Chinese teachers should become researchers in the timeof knowledge-based economy. However, at present some teachers do not have right conception about this. They only regard teaching as their duty, whereas research has nothing to do with them, and others are not clear about how to be a researcher. According to such conditions, the thesis expounds the conception and connotations, characteristics and fostering of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers. Though the discussion may be superficial, it has realistic meaning. What is more, the discussion of the thesis is combined with many teaching cases done by, teachers as researchers. So it may also provide inspiration for Chinese teachers in middle schools.The thesis consists of four parts. They are the background of the thesis and the body that includes three parts.Part one: The origin of the discussion. This part mainly analyzed the reasons for lack of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers now.Part two: The conception and connotations of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers. On the basis of several experts' point of view, the thesis defines the term of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers.Part three: The characteristics of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers. This is mainly discussed from the aspects of conception, action and psychological quality characters. According to some examples of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers, this part concludes the qualities different from the teachers who teach only according to their own experience, which are the principles of most middle school Chinese teachers' performance.Part four: Fostering of middle school Chinese teachers as researchers. This part mainly discusses how to be a researcher from the perspectives of inner and outer factors of middle school Chinese teachers.At the end of the thesis, the conclusion that researching while teaching is a job full of joy is provided. The author earnestly hopes that more middle school Chinese teachers could be teachers as researchers for the future of our nation and the development of children.
