The residential districts in the city as an urban basal cell of its structure and style, has always been boasting very important position and function. For instance, the living conditions of urban residents have generally been improved in that a large amount of newly-built residential districts have been completed. More and more concerns about the inhabit demand gradually has shifted from originally simple "amount" to "quality" of the residential districts.Generally speaking, contemporary residential districts as a very important place for resident' s daily social life and personal communication, whose construction of out-door open space is becoming abasic element of prompting residential districts' surrounding quality, is gradually displaying its vital meanings and values. However, as far as many present constructions of residential districts' open space are concerned, a large amount of contradictions and problems still exit, which is influenced and restrained by many factors such as policy system, economical structure, organization' s management and even people' s cultural psychology, etc., It also influenced and restrained the forming patterns about the healthy and orderly development of open space at present. At the same time, It causes confusing understanding and lost orientation during the course of construction, which in turn leads to a series of new social problems.Therefore, this passage essay focuses on the exploration the process of Kunming contemporary residential districts construction. As considering choosing the open space environmental construction of our contemporary city' s residential districts as a breakthrough point to study.
