Elementary school composition teaching is one of the most important parts in the elementary school Chinese teaching, which is a sort of complex and comprehensive training activity. Proper elementary composition teaching can cultivate and strengthen pupil various makings and also improve the pupils' ability of using language. Nevertheless, many problems still exist in the Chinese composition teaching, which hinder the progress of elementary school teaching. Thus, it is essential to find some new way to improve the quality of Chinese composition teaching. In this thesis, we analyses the characteristics of the instruction mode and method and the successful experiences of Chinese traditional enlightenment composition teaching, historically. At the same time, we have been pondering deeply over the reformation of present Chinese composition teaching. In view of this situation we also give some theoretical suggestions for the reformation of current elementary school composition teaching as references.The thesis comprises four parts.Part one discusses the birth and the evolution of Chinese traditional enlightenment composition teaching and demonstrates the status and the developing situation of Chinese composition teaching in the different period of history.Part two explains the basic trainings of enlightenment composition teaching, which include knowing words and reading, and demonstrate the influence of the basic training on the composition teaching.Part three is the main part of this thesis, in which we have demonstrate the useful experiences of composition instructions in ancient Chinese. That is paradox theory.Part four is the conclusion part. Based on our analysis, we give out some meaningful suggestions for the current elementary school composition teaching innovation.
