In the new chemistry course reform,it is the purpose to improve the students'science cultivation.The science inquiry is the important path which put the target of cultivate the students'science cultivation into effect.It is necessary to make a research on how to cultivate the students'questioning ability in chemistry instruction,for the questioning ability is one of the key factors which form the abilities of science inquiry.Which is the breakthrough point in the new chemistry curriculum reform. In this paper,regarding many years teaching experience as background,the author discussed the inquiry value of the questions in chemistry instruction based on the theory of scientific epistemology and cognitive psychology.Aim at the chemistry teaching,the author told the .meaning of question,characteristics and classification firstly.Talked about the meaning of questioning ability,and three stages of finding questions,expressing questions,proposing valued questions on investigating about the development of questioning ability secondly.Finally,based on learning theories and teaching theories,from the three stages about the development of questioning ability,and the differem chemistry question Can produce different function on chemistry teaching,the author proposed instructions strategies in cultivating the students'questioning ability in chemistry instruction from six aspects,that is to cultivate the students'ability of finding questions,expressing questions,prosing valued questions,prosing inspired questions,prosing testing questions and prosing applied questions....
