| With the development of Internet and communication technology, human society is facing a profound transform. The web has effect on all kinds of research fields and social living, including education. As a new educational form, long-instant education becomes a research hotspot in educational field. However, the level of curriculum design based on behaviorist is inferior, which restricts the development of long-instant education. Recent theories of learning have devoted increasing attention to the ways in which learning is situated in social, cultural, and material contexts. Most generally, these theories of situated learning argue that learning takes place through participation in social practices. In this article, I first outline some of the general claims of situated learning, analyze the foundation of situated learning, and then put forward the principles of its implement. On the base of these analyses, I attempt to design the curriculum in the long-distant education directed by situated learning that overcomes some of the limitations of traditional approaches to learning and schooling by emphasizing the material and social situation of knowledge and learning. This curriculum consists of three primary segments, namely learning by oneself module, cooperative learning module and teaching and studying supervise module. |
