| The author of this paper sets planning of city and villages in the senior high school geography curriculum as an example, illustrating the connection between the elective module and compulsory module in the geography curriculum teaching of high school. With the background of the new reformation of national geography curriculum in 2004, the paper introduces the situation of its practice, the goal and meaning of the reformation and the importance of the elective module in the national geography curriculum in the reformation. The author of this paper brings in the concept of"module"and explains it from many perspectives to introduce the concept and characters of module curriculum. The paper traces back to the first set of national geography curriculum of 1956 in our country and present the development and changes the national geography curriculum has experienced. What's more, the paper shows the advantages of the reformation of 2004 compared with those before. In the following part, the author analyzes the current situation of the practice of the new reformation and gets the problems existing in the process of practice. In the third part, the paper analyzes the connection of the elective module and the compulsory module in details from three aspects that are the relationship of them, importance of the connection of elective module and compulsory module and the concrete teaching methods to connect the elective module and the compulsory module. The forth part of the paper sets the planning of the city and village as an example to further illustrate the connection between the elective module and the compulsive module in teaching. Four aspects are illustrated here that are the arrangement of these two modules, the relationship of the contents of these two modules, the requirement for the teachers in the process of the connection between the planning of city and village and the compulsory module and a teaching case of the modules connecting designed based on the textbook published by People's Education Press. Finally, the author makes the conclusion of the importance of the connection between the elective module and the compulsory module and the connecting methods in teaching. |
