It has become a very realistic and full of challenge task to train students' creative spirit and practice ability in the experiment of new courses reform. The starting point to researching the problem is to inherit advantages of Chinese elementary education an make up disadvantages of present education in our country .In this way we can reduce the gap between ideal and reality, seek joint point between theory and practice and play an important role that can't be substituted of subject teaching in training students' creative spirit and practice ability. It is the development and deepening of quality education to train students' creative spirit and practice ability. It is also the fundamental value direction of new century education.However, while we rethink biology teaching in Senior Middle School , we will find out what fill our brain is still a stubborn knowledge standard teaching value: pay more attention to teaching knowledge ,neglect or treat students' active exploration in an inhospitable way. It is not to build hypothesis but to test hypothesis ; It is not to seek law but to study law. Biology teaching is not only a condense of a great deal of knowledge but also an exploration process of producing knowledge. In the process of exploring emergence of knowledge , it should be the new visual angle to the reform of biology teaching to master concepts and principles , experience the nature of science exploration and develop ability of science exploration. This passage is based on changing students' study way, students' creative potential and train students' spirit of blazing new trails by further practice and research , choosing and using a teaching way of blazing new trails.This passage has discussed background , character, tactics and theoretical basis of exploration –style teaching .It has emphasized to introduce the practice process of exploration-style teaching and its active role in biology class teaching. In the practice and research of exploration-style teaching students' subject activity and creativeness have been fully played, it has promoted the change of students' study way and accelerated students' development .
